Fifteen years ago, I joined High Tech High and saw what was possible when teachers stepped back and students stepped forward. Twelve-year-olds constructed hovercrafts in a gymnasium, cfield guides for universities, tracking marine life with sensors they designed, publishing books, starting nonprofits, and creating living museums.

As a project facilitator, my role changed from delivering learning to designing the conditions for students to lead it.

Since then, I’ve helped schools and educators around the world make that same shift—through project-based programs, workshops, coaching, books, frameworks, and practical tools educators can actually use.
