Imagine joining a new school now, and having to attend your first class online.
Jenny Westaway, a creative member of our remote learning professional learning community and teacher in Beijing will have a new student joining her online class this week- and she has already found an innovative way to make them feel welcome.
Each student in her class has created ‘welcome’ videos on Flipgrid (www.flipgrid.com) . The videos include kind messages and footage inside their homes so their new classmate will feel an immediate connection. Jenny told our group that she received the videos quicker than any past assignment she has given.
